Manhattan Children's Theatre is a Non-Profit 501 (c) (3) organization and is registered with the New York State Charities Bureau. All contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MCT ticket sales cover only 50% of our actual production costs. In order for us to have the ability to grow as an organization, maintain the highest production values possible, as well as to keep our ticket prices affordable to the community, we need your help! Thus, we've identified several areas where your financial contribution would be most beneficial:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Sponsoring a School Group
MCT strongly believes in linking literacy with theatrical arts. We use our productions as a base for reading, writing, speaking and listening as well as a tool to improve communication and socialization skills and to develop creativity and self-awareness. As NYC Public Schools have seen a drastic cut in arts funding in recent months, we feel it is part of our mission to fill in where state and federal funding has left off. Thus, with your contribution, we're able to bring in school classes that would not have the ability to attend a production on their own.
COST: $500 per school group (or $6.66 per student)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Sponsoring a Non-Profit Youth Group
MCT wants to continue providing complimentary tickets to other non-profit youth groups throughout the community. Through your contribution, we'll be able to expand our partnership with other non-profit groups and have the ability to offer children who have never seen the inside of a theatre with a magical experience.
COST: $200 per group (or $10 per child)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Sponsoring a MCT Production
MCT is committed to raising the standards of theatrical entertainment for young audiences. The cultural ability of our children hinges only upon the limitlessness of their imaginations. By investing in a MCT production, you're investing in the great minds of our future.
COST: $5000 per production
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. General Contribution
There is no donation that is too little or insignificant! A $200 donation pays for the development of our promotional material, $25 pays for the printing of our posters. A $5 contribution from each person on our mailing list would allow us to pay our rent for a month!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
